Centre for promotion of Voluntary work

Slovene Philanthropy is running a programme called the the Dissemination and Developing of Voluntary Work in Slovenia, together with volunteers and voluntary organisations. The programme consists of different activities for volunteers, voluntary organisations and the broader public. All of the information and offers are accessible via the portal www.prostovoljstvo.org.

Volunteers and organisations

Voluntary activities serve as a chance for already active volunteers, and also people who intend to become one, to work voluntarily. Organisations take these potential volunteers and help them to achieve their goal.

The portal www.prostovoljstvo.org helps to connect organisations throughout all the country. The Centre for the Promotion of Voluntary Work serves as the administrator, giving support to these voluntary organisations and volunteers.

More specifically, this involves:
•    advice and support in terms of organising voluntary activities
•    training for mentors and their volunteers
•    organising different events

Broader public

The association has a lot of promotional material and tries to stress the importance of voluntary work at different events in order to reach the wider public.
